Get Down's Lovely Lady
aka Lovey
"Lovey" is my on-loan mare that
I am showing this season.  She
belongs to a friend who doesn't
have time to show, but would
like to see her talented mare in
the ring.  I am without a
versatility horse while I am
waiting for Junior to grow up.  I
originally was just looking for a
horse that I could do some
"gaming" classes with and
didn't expect my friend to send
me such a talented, naturally
gaited horse!
So, we're starting Lovey out in Country
Pleasure and, as she gets more set in her
gaits, we'll move up to 2-gait Trail Pleasure
and then 3-gait.  Lovey has a lot of heart and
is very intelligent.  We've just started her on
the basics for trail obstacle and she's
already outsmarted me on a few things, so
this girl will really be keeping me on my toes.
I really think she is going to go far!
Lovey made her show ring debut at the MOWHA Fall Round up in
Springfield, Ohio in October.  This mare is so talented, it was difficult to
keep up with her!  According to the DQP, "That is what you call a
NATURAL horse."
See her results here!
Her owner and I cannot contain our excitement and are really looking
forward to next year.
Get Down's Lovely Lady is out of Get Down Brown (out of Pride's Beam) and Stock's Irish Mist
(out of Quarter
back's Stock).   Get Down Brown is available for breeding at Walkin' On Itty Bitty
Acres in Kimbolton, Ohio.
Lovey starting to learn how to jump.  Since this
video, she has made her way up to 2 ft 3 inch
jumps and is really enjoying herself!
